Job summary

AbbVie’s MPDD team is hiring a Senior Scientist I to lead automated, data-driven workflows across lead optimization and candidate selection. You’ll apply biopharmaceutics, formulation strategies, and physical characterization methods to guide decisions and partner with discovery to translate science into robust manufacturing processes.

You will collaborate with computational chemists and data scientists to generate high-quality data, and contribute to cross-functional efforts that translate

Qualifications

• Experience with physicochemical property profiling relevant to developability and risk mitigation.
• Experience in preclinical formulation development and screening strategies for novel modalities.
• Ability to generate, structure, and capture data to support predictive modeling and AI/ML applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automated, data-enabled workflows to accelerate decision-making and throughput in early development sciences.
• Profile physiochemical properties and develop preclinical formulations.
• Advance platform workflows for emerging modalities and collaborate cross-functionally to enable faster pipeline progression.
• Support regulatory submissions by ensuring data integrity and traceability.
