The Goodkind Company in the Austin area is seeking a Director of Compounding to oversee all cosmetic batch manufacturing, ensure cGMP compliance, and prepare for FDA audits.

You will lead a cross-functional team, manage process improvements, scale-up, tech transfer, and CAPA, while partnering with R&D, QA, and operations to deliver right-first-time batches.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10+ years experience in cosmetic, personal care, OTC, or pharmaceutical batch manufacturing.
• 5+ years of management experience leading a compounding or manufacturing function with multiple direct reports.
• Hands-on experience with hot pour / anhydrous stick products and emulsions at commercial scale.

Aufgaben

• Direct and optimize all compounding operations to meet schedule, yield, quality, and cost targets.
• Run hot pour, emulsion, and cold-process batching with defined process parameters.
• Deliver batches that meet specification on the first attempt; own rework and scrap reduction.
• Ensure batch records are complete, accurate, and reviewed in real time.
• Lead deviation investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA with Quality.
• Maintain cGMP and ISO 22716 compliance and support audits.
• Own SOPs, work instructions, cleaning, and equipment logs; keep current and followed.
• Partner with R&D and Process Engineering on scale-up and tech transfer.
