Job summary

MetLife is seeking a Director, Head of Compliance Technology to lead technology strategy, product management, and delivery for the Compliance & Tax portfolio. You will partner with executives to drive transformation, establish modern operating models, and ensure regulatory and business objectives are met.

You will lead diverse teams of product managers, engineers, and analysts, balancing governance, vendor management, financial stewardship, and strategic leadership to deliver measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree required with leadership experience in Financial Services tech.
• Experience defining and delivering technology strategies and roadmaps.
• Strong understanding of Compliance business processes and operating models.
• Proven success leading large-scale transformation and modernization initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Experience or curiosity to apply AI to improve speed, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute multi-year technology strategy and product roadmap for Compliance & Tax tech.
• Act as product portfolio owner ensuring investments deliver business value and risk-mitigated outcomes.
• Partner with senior leaders to shape operating models and technology-enabled transformation opportunities.
• Drive portfolio prioritization, investment planning, demand/capacity management, and value realization.
• Lead governance of product lifecycle including modernization, rationalization, and decommissioning.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Data teams to ensure alignment with standards.
