Job summary

Temco Logistics seeks a Director of Compensation to lead the design, development, communication, and implementation of compensation programs for its associates. The role focuses on base pay, incentive pay, and equity to motivate and reward employees and to maintain competitiveness.

The position manages the compensation function end-to-day, offers strategic leadership, and partners with business leaders on compensation needs while guiding HR partners through decision processes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in compensation leadership or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field; MBA preferred
• MBA and CCP are preferred but not required, with CCP highly valued

Responsibilities

• Develops compensation strategy and tactics to ensure Temco Logistics' market position remains competitive
• Evaluates market trends and assesses Temco Logistics' pay position relative to the market
• Designs, develops, and maintains compensation policy and procedures
• Manages compensation programs across functions, including executive compensation
• Oversees job evaluation and analytics, and supports executive compensation discussions
• Advises business partners on compensation decisions and approval processes

Temco Logistics is looking for a Director of Compensation associate to Direct

The design, development, communication, and implementation of compensation programs — including base pay, incentive pay, and equity — that provide a competitive level of pay, motivation, and reward to Temco Logistics associates. Manages the compensation function end-to‑day execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develops compensation strategy and tactics to ensure Temco Logistics' market position remains competitive
• Evaluates competitive market trends and assesses Temco Logistics' pay position relative to the market
• Designs, develops, and maintains compensation policy and procedures
• Manages the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs across multiple functions across the organizations, including executive compensation programs
• Assures appropriate job evaluation, including through officer/executive level
• Manages compensation analytics and job evaluation processes
• Evaluates the effectiveness of existing compensation programs and recommends modifications
• Leads research, analysis, and preparation of materials for executive team for compensation meetings, and develops recommendations for executive compensation policies and practices
• Serves as internal consultant to business partners and HR clients on compensation decisions and issues
• Guides HR partners on compensation decisions and drives approval processes
• Partners with business leaders on compensation needs specific to their organizations

Travel Requirements

• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA preferred
• Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in a field of study related to the job
