Baptist Health has served Northeast Florida since 1955 and is the region's largest health system. It is not for profit, faith based, mission driven and locally governed. More than 15,000 team members and 2,900 physicians and advanced practice providers work across six hospitals, ten emergency centers and more than 200 points of care. The system includes Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, Beaches, Clay, Nassau and South, along with Baptist Heart Hospital, Wolfson Children's Hospital and Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center. Korn Ferry's Healthcare team has been retained by Baptist Health to find its next Director of Compensation. This role suits a compensation leader who wants to build. The Director will set the foundation of Baptist Health's compensation program, create a clear compensation philosophy, finish job architecture and career frameworks, and address pay compression and internal equity across a large acute care system. The work comes with real executive visibility and the chance to leave a lasting mark on how the organization pays and develops its workforce.
Reporting to the Vice President of Total Rewards, the Director of Compensation is the main architect of compensation programs across Baptist Health. The Director leads a team that includes a Manager of Compensation and about 10 compensation analysts. Part of the team works remotely in several states. This leader partners with senior executives on market competitiveness, pay equity, executive compensation and incentive plan design. A key goal is to strengthen internal compensation expertise and rely less on outside consultants.
In the first year, the Director will earn the trust of leaders across the system and assess and develop the team. The Director will also put core compensation infrastructure in place and improve how compensation processes work within Workday. Over time, the Director will gain buy in on a compensation philosophy, finish the job architecture, and build an internal function that runs with less reliance on outside consultants.
