Job summary

Orenda Education, Georgetown, TX, seeks a Director of Community Relations & Development to design and lead a comprehensive community relations, marketing, and fundraising program. The role focuses on growing enrollment, securing funding, and promoting public school choice across districts and media.

The successful candidate will manage digital marketing, social media, internal communications, and donor relations, reporting to the Superintendent and guiding staff and volunteers to achieve

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in digital marketing, public relations, brand management, or fundraising.
• Experience preferred in education or youth services.
• Knowledge of and appreciation for the Texas public charter schools.

Responsibilities

• Directs public relations, acts as the primary media liaison and crisis communications adviser.
• Leads strategy, planning, and execution of district-wide community and landmark events.
• Builds and executes data-driven enrollment marketing campaigns to meet targets.
• Promotes student achievements and school success stories across local media markets.
• Collaborates with Superintendent, CEO and Board to design fundraising plans and oversee major campaigns.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Journalism, or closely related field

CFRE certification (preferred)
