Job summary

Blue Cap is seeking a Director of Community Day Services in Blue Island, IL. This full-time role oversees the Community Day Services Program, advocates for participants, and leads development and monitoring of individualized support plans.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a human service field, 2+ years of relevant experience, and certifications (DSP training, First Aid/CPR/AED, CPI). Expect 37.5 hours weekly, typically Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, special education, psychology, rehabilitation counseling, social work or related human service field (as defined by DHS).
• Two or more years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• IDHS Direct Support Professional (DSP) training completed and listed on the Illinois Health Care Worker Registry.
• State of IL QIDP certification status; preferred.
• Ability to maintain First Aid/CPR/AED and CPI certifications.
• Ability to pass Department of Human Services Background Checks on an annual basis.
• Proficiency in the use of computers, software applications, and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Salary: $75,000.00 Annually

Blue Cap is hiring a full time position for Director of Community Day Services serving as an advocate on behalf of the people receiving services in the Community Day Services Program and develop/monitor the implementation of individualized support plans. Responsible for planning, coordination, implementation, management and evaluation of the Community Day Services Program.

37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday generally 8:00am – 4:00pm
