Director of Community Day Services

Full-Time 30+ hrs Vocational Blue Island, IL, US 1 Attachments

Salary: $75,000.00 Annually

Blue Cap is hiring a full time position for Director of Community Day Services serving as an advocate on behalf of the people receiving services in the Community Day Services Program and develop/monitor the implementation of individualized support plans. Responsible for planning, coordination, implementation, management and evaluation of the Community Day Services Program.

37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday generally 8:00am - 4:00pm

• Bachelor’s degree in education, special education, psychology, rehabilitation counseling, social work or related human service field (as defined by DHS).
• Two or more years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Successful completion of IDHS Direct Support Professional (DSP) training and listed on the Illinois Health Care Worker Registry
• State of IL QIDP certification status; preferred
• Ability to maintain First Aid/CPR/AED and CPI certifications
• Ability to pass Department of Human Services Background Checks on an annual basis
• Proficiency in the use of computers, software applications, and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
