Job summary

Belden Inc. is seeking a Director of Commercial Operational Excellence to lead AMS KPI governance and regional operating rhythms. This role drives continuous improvement, coordinates kaizen events, and strengthens cross‑functional handoffs to accelerate execution and improve data quality.

The successful candidate will embed standard work, design control plans, and deliver measurable outcomes across the AMS commercial workflow, partnering with Sales Ops, Commercial Ops, and Analytics teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in commercial operations, continuous improvement, operating model execution, or related roles within complex B2B organizations (industrial, technology, manufacturing preferred).
• Demonstrated experience building and running operating rhythms (KPIs, performance reviews, action management) across multiple teams.
• Proven track record leading cross functional continuous improvement work that improves speed, quality, and adoption.
• Strong facilitation skills: lead working sessions, kaizens, and problem‑solving workshops with senior stakeholders.
• High analytical rigor with the ability to translate data into decisions, priorities, and sustained execution.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; able to drive alignment without formal authority.

Responsibilities

• Own and coordinate AMS commercial KPI governance (definitions, measurement standards, accountability, action management).
• Run AMS regional Operations Reviews cadence and build leadership narratives.
• Drive closed‑loop action management with clear owners, due dates, escalation paths, and verification of countermeasures.
• Serve as the AMS commercial continuous improvement leader; identify, prioritize, and deliver initiatives that remove friction and accelerate execution.
• Lead and facilitate kaizen events across AMS commercial processes (e.g., opportunity progression, solution/quote workflows, lead handoffs, partner motions, forecasting inputs, services attach motions).
• Implement control plans and sustainment routines so improvements translate into observable adherence and measurable outcomes.
• Strengthen cross‑team handoffs and process adherence, reducing rework and cycle time.
