Job summary

Bonita Packing is seeking a Director of Logistics in Santa Maria, CA, reporting to the Vice President, Cooler Operations. The role oversees the delivered customer freight program across the US and Canada, including carrier selection, contracts, rate negotiations, and P&L management.

A 15% bonus is available with a pay range of $100,000–$150,000. Responsibilities include managing Canada-bound shipments, customs clearance, and monthly accruals, while driving continuous improvement to deliver

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes the overall logistics strategy to optimize freight revenues and margins
• Oversees carrier selection, contracts, and freight-rate negotiations by lane
• Works with Sales to create value-added customer delivered freight programs
• Monitors monthly freight rate adjustments and forecasts based on market conditions
• Manages Canada-bound shipments and customs paperwork; ensures proper clearance
• Identifies continuous improvement opportunities to enhance service and satisfaction
