Ladders is seeking a Director of Cloud Team — Remote to shape and execute a cloud engineering vision for a mission-driven technology organization focused on secure, scalable delivery. You will partner with Product, Sales, and Customer Experience to align roadmaps and drive reliability across multi-cloud platforms.

You will build and mentor high-performance cloud teams, set architectural standards, and champion DevSecOps, automation, and containerization.

For our client, we are seeking a Director of Cloud Team - Remote to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will shape and execute the cloud engineering vision for a mission-driven technology organization focused on secure, scalable delivery. The Director will partner closely with Product, Sales, Customer Experience, and technical teams to drive roadmap alignment, operational reliability, and customer-facing solutions. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for someone who can build strong teams, set architectural standards, and advance modern cloud practices across the organization.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $128,600 – $225,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Define and execute long-term cloud engineering strategy for the organization’s products
• Establish architectural direction and technology standards for multi-cloud delivery
• Lead capacity planning and team structure design for growth
• Collaborate with Product on the multi-year cloud product roadmap
• Mentor and develop the Cloud Solutions team, promoting a high-performance culture
• Build and scale cloud engineering teams to manage product complexity
• Ensure integrated delivery and adherence to architectural best practices across teams
• Oversee design, development, and deployment of cloud products across major cloud service providers
• Champion automation, containerization, and DevSecOps principles
• Establish KPIs and SLAs for cloud product reliability and security
• Manage monthly maintenance cycles for cloud products
• Ensure compliance with security and privacy standards
• Support customer onboarding and solution design with Sales and Customer Experience teams
• Stay current on emerging cloud technologies and regulatory trends
• Represent the organization in industry forums and technical communities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
• 8+ years in cloud engineering, architecture, or product development
• 4+ years of experience leading technical teams
• Expertise in multiple cloud service provider environments
• Proven track record in designing secure, large-scale cloud products
• Proficiency with automation tools like Ansible and Jenkins
• Strong understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
