Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Director of Software Engineering (Cloud Security) to lead security operations for large-scale AWS and GCP environments. The role reports to the Sr Director, CloudOps and Security and requires building high‑performing teams, driving strategy, and delivering strong cloud security across SaaS platforms.

The position is hybrid, based in California, with on-site collaboration and executive engagement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years of team leadership.
• Experience with encryption standards, IAM, RBAC, WAF, CIS benchmarking.
• Deep security expertise in AWS and/or GCP.
• Experience securing Kubernetes and VM using IaC.
• Strong code-reading/writing ability (Python preferred).

Responsibilities

• Define and lead a unified cloud security operations strategy.
• Oversee security for AI-powered SaaS platforms on AWS/GCP.
• Lead security incident response and crisis leadership.
• Collaborate with security, engineering, product, IT, and exec teams.
• Promote automation, scalability, reliability in security operations.
• Provide executive visibility into security posture and risks.
