Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

The Director of Clinical Operations is responsible for overseeing hospice clinical services. This role involves establishing, implementing, and evaluating goals and objectives to ensure quality standards are met and organizational philosophy is upheld.

Responsibilities

1. Coordinate and oversee all patient services provided by clinical staff.
2. Guide and support coordinators and Clinical Supervisors in improving hospice care services.
3. Assist Clinical Supervisors with managing clinical teams and planning.
4. Support assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient and family care.
5. Assist in budget preparation and management.
6. Monitor operational indicators to adjust staffing and resources accordingly.
7. Evaluate Clinical Supervisors' performance and assist in skill development.
8. Hire, evaluate, and terminate personnel as needed.
9. Conduct performance evaluations for clinicians.
10. Maintain accurate clinical records and reports in compliance with laws.
11. Ensure proper inventory and supplies for patient care.
12. Develop and oversee orientation and training programs for staff.
13. Participate in performance improvement initiatives to ensure quality and safety.
14. Develop organizational policies and ensure compliance with regulations.
15. Stay informed about developments in nursing and hospice care.
16. Promote hospice referrals within the healthcare community.
17. Act as the acting Executive Director/Administrator in their absence, with delegated authority.

Qualifications

• Current registered nurse license in the state.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Management experience in hospice or similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
