Job summary

Ithaca College seeks a Director of Clinical Education to lead the clinical phase of the Physician Assistant Studies program, beginning around October 1, 2026. The DCE provides administrative, educational, and clinical leadership and collaborates to promote student success and ensure accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies, Health Professions Education, Medical Education, or a related field.
• If a PA, NCCPA certification and NY licensure within six months of start date; otherwise a relevant NY license.
• At least three years of professional preparation and experience related to clinical and instructional responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative leadership to faculty and staff of the clinical phase.
• Oversee clinical education, curriculum, site development, and accreditation compliance.
• Coordinate clinical rotations, learner assessments, progression, and remediation.
• Develop and maintain clinical sites and preceptors; monitor learner performance and outcomes.
• Teach within didactic and clinical curricula and advise learners.
• Participate in governance committees and program planning.
