Job summary

HDR is seeking a Client Experience Director to lead the enterprise‑wide client experience strategy and drive improvements across HDR’s service lines. The role partners with business groups, operations, and marketing to translate client feedback into strategic action and measurable outcomes.

This in‑office position can be based in any HDR location in the US. The role requires 15+ years in A/E/C, a strong business mindset, and exceptional communication and leadership skills to foster a

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in the A/E/C industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, organizational leadership, engineering, architecture, or related field is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading large cross‑functional strategic programs across complex organizations.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.
• Ability to translate client, market, and organizational insights into strategic and operational improvements.
• Experience working within a globally matrixed firm with dispersed teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead HDR’s enterprise‑wide client experience program and define vision, strategy, governance, and implementation.
• Translate client insights into strategic actions and drive continuous improvement.
• Coach leaders on client feedback, relationship strategies, and issue resolution.
• Oversee client insights, research initiatives, metrics, and actionable recommendations.
• Develop tools and resources to strengthen client experience capabilities across the enterprise.
