Job summary

Tides Mental Health in Chicago is seeking a Head of Child and Adolescent Therapy to lead the new division. This role combines direct clinical work with division development, mentoring colleagues, and shaping care standards for young clients.

Approximately 75% of time is client-facing, with 25% dedicated to marketing, program strategy, and administration. The ideal candidate holds IL licensure (LCPC/LCSW/LMFT) and at least five years in youth therapy with leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed IL professional (LCPC, LCSW or LMFT) eligible to practice in Illinois.
• Minimum 5+ years in child and adolescent therapy, with leadership or supervisory experience.
• Expertise in evidence-based modalities for youth, such as play therapy, CBT, and family systems.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and expansion of child/adolescent therapy services within the practice.
• Provide direct therapy to children and adolescents and oversee program development.
• Collaborate with families, schools and healthcare providers to coordinate care.
• Mentor therapists, ensuring clinical excellence and adherence to best practices.
• Partner with the Chief Clinical Officer to guide strategic growth of the division.
• Design innovative, personalized treatment approaches leveraging new therapies.
• Foster a compassionate, inclusive workplace culture and contribute to outreach.
• Support marketing and outreach to grow the division's client base.
