Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, business or related field.
• Seven years of experience in construction contract management and/or contract administration.
• Five years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong communication, analytical and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to manage diverse workforce and complex change orders.

Responsibilities

• Hire, supervise, and lead a team of change order management professionals.
• Train staff in technical review, analysis, negotiations, and change order resolution.
• Support Capital Delivery objectives and policy decisions on contractor change management.
• Partner with Project Offices to support goals for construction Change Orders.
• Ensure integration with PMIS and financial systems; negotiate complex changes.
• Provide guidance for Work Directive Letters and Amendment scope language.
• Escalate complex matters for senior review and approval.
• Ensure accuracy of change order packages and compliance with SOPs and regulations.
• Oversee change order data maintenance and analytic reports.
• Report to senior leadership on changes, savings, and capital program topics.
• Represent MBTA externally as SME in construction change orders and claims.
• Communicate effectively with MBTA leadership, contractors, customers, and vendors.
• Uphold rights and interests of the Authority while maintaining employee relations.
• Manage workforce with fair application of policies and EEO/anti-harassment rules.
