Job summary

You will evaluate change order proposals for merit, develop independent cost estimates, process proposals, and draft accompanying correspondence. The ideal candidate has a college degree in engineering or construction management, at least ten years of experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• A college degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• At least ten years’ experience as Change Order/Claims Manager on construction projects.
• Experience on a project over $500 million as Change Order/Claims administrator.
• Experience on transportation infrastructure projects (MBTA project preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated success working as part of a project team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate contractor change order proposals for merit and provide recommendations.
• Develop independent cost estimates for meritorious proposals.
• Process change order proposals per project procedures.
• Draft correspondence denying proposed change orders.
• Draft approved change orders.
• Evaluate contractor claims and prepare written analyses.
