Job summary

AdventHealth seeks a seasoned Clinical Documentation Integrity leader to develop and execute the organization-wide CDI strategy. You will ensure clear, accurate documentation supports severity of illness and quality of care while guiding regional and corporate CDI teams.

You will oversee enterprise CDI software platforms, drive dashboards and KPIs, and collaborate with revenue cycle leadership to optimize reimbursement. A CCDS certification is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leadership experience including at least 5 years clinical documentation leadership
• 5+ years’ experience as a clinical documentation specialist in the acute care setting
• CCDS certification is required
• Experience in acute care clinical coding is preferred

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes the strategic vision for CDI across the organization
• Promotes accurate documentation supporting severity of illness and quality of care
• Leads and supports CDI directors and corporate CDI team
• Oversees enterprise CDI software platforms
• Manages concurrent and retrospective review processes
• Facilitates provider education on CDI practices
• Leads quality and safety review processes
• Collaborates with revenue cycle coding leadership
• Develops training programs for CDI specialists
• Monitors metrics and analytics to reflect best practices
