Job Summary

As Catering Sales Director, you will coordinate all catering events, oversee menu development, manage costs, and handle marketing. You will also oversee event operations, including setup, transportation, and cleanup, and manage sales financials and event coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop managers; improve service techniques, menu presentation, policies, and procedures
• Prepare operational reports, budgets, and manage receivables
• Plan and book catering activities and events
• Create proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards, including HACCP
• Maintain client and vendor relationships
• Manage budgets and financial targets

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Proven sales success
• Knowledge of current food trends and fine dining
• 5-8 years in hospitality, with 3+ in catering sales
• Leadership, scheduling, training skills
• Client assessment and satisfaction skills
• Menu proposal writing with chefs
• Experience with A/V setup for events
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Advanced computer skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to adapt and remain calm under pressure
• High standards of integrity and ethics
• Excellent client relations and customer service skills
