Job summary

Howden Re is seeking a Director on the Catastrophe Analytics team to advise clients on managing catastrophe risk using outputs from catastrophe models. The role requires strong data analysis, visualization skills, and experience with cat modeling software, with collaboration across an analytics team to deliver innovative solutions.

The position involves leading modeling efforts, stakeholder communications, and building client and reinsurer relationships in a results-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in catastrophe modeling and risk management.
• Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Execute all aspects of catastrophe modeling including data prep, portfolio analysis, and reporting.
• Respond to stakeholder queries on exposure data, real-time cat events, model validation, view of risk, portfolio profitability and optimization.
• Use proprietary software to design and manage catastrophe reinsurance programs.
• Improve analytical processes for better client results.
• Establish strong relationships with colleagues, clients and reinsurers.
