Job summary

Trident Technical College is seeking a Director of Career Development and Workforce Initiatives to lead grant-funded programs connecting students with career exploration and employment opportunities. You will work with the Project Director to align services with college goals and workforce priorities.

The role requires strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills to assess needs, coordinate resources, and drive program delivery across departments and external partners.

Qualifications

• This position requires a bachelor’s degree and relevant management experience.
• The preferred candidate will have a master’s degree in career development, education, workforce development, business, or a related field.
• Experience in career development, workforce development, career services, student success, or related fields is desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and continuous improvement of career development and workforce initiatives.
• Coordinate grant-related activities with the Project Director and monitor progress toward outcomes.
• Collaborate with academic departments, employers, K–12 schools, workforce agencies, and community partners.
• Assess needs, establish priorities, and move initiatives from planning to implementation.
• Evaluate program effectiveness using labor market information, data, and stakeholder feedback.
