Job summary

Trident Technical College seeks an Executive Director of Human Resources to serve as the senior HR leader advising the President and executive team. This role leads workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, classification and compensation, benefits, payroll, professional development, and wellness programs to support the College’s mission.

The Executive Director ensures compliance with federal/state laws, SBTCE policies, DSHR requirements, and College procedures while guiding HR

Qualifications

• Requires a master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field.
• Six (6) years of human resources experience at the senior or executive level.

Responsibilities

• Advise the President and executive leadership on workforce planning and employment-related matters.
• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with College goals and long-term workforce needs.
• Lead and manage the HR team, set priorities, and ensure effective HR services.
• Oversee workforce planning, structure, staffing, and FTE management to support College needs.
• Direct classification and compensation practices to support recruitment, equity, and fiscal responsibility.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and talent development for all levels of staff and leadership.
• Ensure compliant and properly documented recruitment practices in line with laws and policies.
• Collaborate with academic and administrative leaders on engagement, performance management, and growth.
• Oversee benefits, payroll, leave administration, HR systems, and employee wellness services.
• Review workforce data to identify trends and drive improvements in HR operations.
• Coordinate with state agencies on HR policies, regulations, and reporting.
