POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Capital Formation defines and executes Directed Capital's capital fundraising strategy across current and future offerings. This role expands and deepens investor relationships with high-net-worth individuals and institutional investors, leads development of offering materials and diligence content, and partners with DCR's leadership team to convert investor interest into committed capital, stewarding investors from initial meeting through final close and the full fund life cycle.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High-integrity, hands-on leader with excellent negotiation, consultative, and relationship-building skills across high-net-worth individuals and institutions.
  • Effective communicator and storyteller with analytical rigor; strong writer; comfortable presenting underwriting and servicing processes and track records.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented.
  • Resilient and calm under deadlines with genuine executive presence.
  • Strategic, systematic, and organized, with sound judgment and disciplined follow-through on regulated processes.
  • Intellectually agile and quick-thinking.
  • 10+ years* of relevant financial experience in one or more of the following strongly preferred:
    • Raising private-markets capital from high-net-worth individuals and institutional investors.
    • Investment products and wealth-management strategies.
    • Private credit and commercial real estate lending, bank facilities, loan participations, and statutory accounting concepts relevant to insurance investors.
    • Comparable experience preparing a candidate to raise capital, engage sophisticated investors including endowments and pensions, and work with private-market fund structures and participations.
    • Regulation D private offerings, including the solicitation constraints that apply to a Rule 506(b) raise.
  • Education & Credentials: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required. Degree in finance, economics, accounting, business administration, or a closely related field preferred. Other Credentials that are helpful: CPA, MBA, JD, CFA, or CCIM.
  • Eligibility: This position is a covered person for purposes of Rule 506(d) of Regulation D. Candidates complete an eligibility questionnaire, which is recertified annually and in advance of each new offering.
  • Nice to haves: ties to the St. Pete/Tampa Bay area, project-management skills, and a solid grasp of SEC compliance across multiple fund vehicles.

(*) Candidates with strong, established relationships within the Tampa Bay HNW community, or a strong local profile and community relationships, may be considered with fewer than 10 years of experience, provided they also demonstrate a successful multi-year track record of raising capital from high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and institutions.
