Job summary
ICON Technology Group is seeking a Director of Business Development to architect expansion across Dallas-Fort Worth. This strategic operator will position ICON's robotics and materials tech as the premier solution for visionary developers and institutional capital, early in project idea development.
The role is located in Dallas/Ft.Worth and reports to the Vice President, Real Estate and Sales, with responsibility for market strategy, deal lifecycle ownership, and executive relationship
Qualifications
- 10+ years in business development or real estate development.
- Proven track record in design-build or GC environment.
- Deep knowledge of the Dallas–Fort Worth real estate fundamentals.
- Ability to discuss robotics, architecture, and advanced material science.
- Established local developer, investor, and architectural networks.
- MBA or MRED preferred.
Responsibilities
- Identify market segments and justify ICON's tech advantages.
- Lead the regional Go/No-Go process and vet opportunities.
- Cultivate a deep ecosystem of developers, PE, and architects/engineers.
- Own deals from initial visioning sessions to signed contracts; ensure smooth handoff.
- Develop high-level financial/feasibility analyses and speak developer.
- Negotiate complex design-build agreements aligned with ICON's requirements.
- Navigate AHJs with regulatory teams and differentiate ICON from traditional GCs.
