Mercy Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Youngstown, OH, is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead strategic marketing, admissions growth, and referral development. This full-time role directs the Clinical Liaison and Admissions teams and develops data-driven plans to increase census and expand market presence.

The candidate will oversee market analytics, collaborate with physicians and payers, and design annual marketing strategies aligned with hospital goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Clinical discipline required; MBA preferred.
• Minimum five years of healthcare management experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan to grow census and payer mix.
• Provide leadership and oversight to Clinical Liaison and Admissions teams.
• Maintain a database system for market analytics, including demand, utilization trends, referral patterns, and competitor analysis.
• Ensure patient referrals are clinically appropriate and support families in admission decisions.
• Design and execute annual and as-needed marketing plans aligned with long- and short-term facility goals.
• Collaborate with managed care organizations, physicians, and internal leaders to develop joint business plans, feasibility studies, and new service line strategies.
• Serve as a liaison with referral sources, case managers, and managed care providers to drive revenue while maintaining a focus on quality care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
