Job summary

Mercy Health Rehabilitation Hospital, Youngstown, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health, seeks a Clinical Liaison for Inpatient Rehabilitation. This PRN role supports intake, pre-admission screening, and coordination with referring facilities to determine admission suitability.

The CL will communicate options to patients and families, gather benefits information, and liaison with external case management. Ideal candidates hold a clinical licensure and a bachelor’s degree, with prior marketing

Qualifications

• Clinical licensure (RN, PT, OT, SLP, LSW) and Bachelor's degree required.
• Marketing/sales experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

How You'll ContributeA Clinical Liaison who excels in this role:

• Assist and coordinate in-take and pre-admission screening process
• Perform on-site (typically in referring facility) clinical judgment to determine appropriateness of patient for admission
• Communicates to patients and family's rehabilitation and facility options. Communicates to patients determined appropriate for admission the patient's expectations and requirements for participation
• Secures information relating to patients' resources and benefits
• Functions as initial contact for external case management and discharge planner personnel with payors and hospital facilities

What We're Looking ForApplicants should have a Clinical Licensure (RN, PT, OT, SLP, LSW) and a Bachelor's degree. Additional requirements include:

• Previous marketing/sales experience preferred
• Previous clinical experience preferred with demonstrated skills in clinical assessment and EMR systems
• Formal Sales Training preferred
• Valid driver's license
