You'll develop and lead a business development strategy, partner closely with our operations and marketing teams, and help turn promising connections into lasting client relationships. Representative Tasks and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain positive business relationships with clients who represent new work for BCCI; this includes new geographic areas and new market segments. Initiate and maintain positive working relationships with clients, architectural/engineering contacts, consultants, subcontractors, vendors and other project team members.
- For specific geographic areas and market segments, develop, monitor and implement all sales activities for the company including developing company strategy and managing business development services provided by project teams to ensure departmental alignment with the company's values, tracking of financial goals and communicating knowledge of competitive trends in the marketplace.
- In coordination with Vice President of Sales and Business Development and BU Leader, develop, maintain and implement the sales and business development action plan in order to fulfill the growth and revenue goals of the company in specified geographic areas and market segments.
- Provide quality sales effort to ensure customer service and financial metrics established in the annual action plan are achieved.
- Participate in industry associations, events and networking opportunities to expand BCCI's exposure in the market.
- Assist with the ongoing development of new training and reporting systems and refinement of existing systems for the department. Continuously review and recommend departmental and project process improvements to increase effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity.
- Serve as Project Executive on selected projects.
- Prepare and manage the annual general and administrative budget for sales and business development activities as directed by the Vice President of Sales and Business Development.
- Work with Marketing Team to manage a coordinated business development, client proposal and response effort for specific geographic areas and market segments.
- Provide training, coaching and mentoring to project and operations Teams.
- Contribute to company's culture, mission and values through thought leadership and actions.
- Maintain effective working relationships within the various departments of the Company
- Support marketing in the development and implementation of the corporate communications plan.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

Education
- College degree in Marketing, Communications, Business
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of construction, design, finance, management, estimating cost controls, scheduling and contract management.
- Working knowledge of software programs, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Timberline, Procore, and CMiC, SalesForce.
- Advanced relationship and negotiation skills
Experience
- 10 years' experience in sales, marketing and business development with a demonstrated progression of increased responsibility in sales and business development.
- 7-10 years' experience in the construction industry.
