Job summary

ENFRA Solutions seeks a Director of Commissioning to lead teams ensuring building systems meet owner requirements and design intent. You will work with owners, contractors, engineers, and architects to guide commissioning from start to finish.

Responsibilities include mentoring Cx professionals, defining standards, coordinating with clients, and managing budgets. Travel 25–40% is expected as projects span multiple sites nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in commissioning or related building construction.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, controls, and building enclosure.
• Strong leadership with focus on employee development.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Experience interacting with owners, contractors, engineers, and architects.
• Commissioning Certification (e.g. NEBB, ACG, BCxA, ASHRAE).
• Proficiency with Cloud Based commissioning software.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop Cx Professionals.
• Set performance standards and conduct evaluations.
• Collaborate with clients and partners to define requirements.
• Manage project information flow to commissioning teams.
• Implement structured status tracking and reporting.
• Ensure all client communications are documented.
• Identify gaps and drive corrective actions.
• Develop commissioning fee proposals.
• Oversee KPIs and project health.
• Provide input to VP on standards and practices.
• Support business development and interviews.
• Lead commissioning process across projects.
• Participate in owner training activities.
• Uphold ENFRA’s owner advocacy.
• Manage project commissioning budgets.
• Assess feasibility and profitability prior to approval.
• Cultivate collaborative, accountable team culture.
• Reinforce commitment to client advocacy.
