Overview

Let us describe the challenge we offer.

The Director of Brand & Communications will be the primary point of contact for all marketing activities relating to the brand in the U.S. market. You will work in collaboration with our marketing teams in Europe and Global offices to ensure brand consistency across the United States and execute new initiatives and programs in line with our North America strategy. You will be responsible for successful product launches and strengthening customer and dealer awareness and consideration of the Konica Minolta brand within the market. This role will be based in Ramsey, NJ and will report directly to the Senior Vice President, Marketing.


Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy

  • Grow the Konica Minolta brand in the U.S. and drive brand awareness, consideration, and relevance among target audiences.
  • Develop the U.S. brand and comms strategy consistent with the overall Global brand strategy and U.S. marketing strategy and implementation roadmap.
  • Leverage the strategies, guidelines, and content from our global HQ to drive scalable and efficient marketing for the U.S market.
  • Drive a digital-first, customer-centric approach across all aspects of the business together with cross-organization leaders and stakeholders.
  • Align with business leaders and external partners to secure communication plans and activations are in place and according to strategy and guidelines.
  • Responsible for financial planning and reporting (paired with KPI framework to deliver campaign attribution/ROI measurement).
  • Manage and oversee the U.S. brand and comms budget each fiscal year.

Brand Activation & Campaigns

  • Drive brand awareness and engagement through owned and earned media channels, as well as through marketing-created and editorial content.
  • Develop specific brand and tactical campaigns to create and maintain high levels of customer interest ultimately driving conversion.
  • Author brand marketing strategy briefs designed to beat YoY engagement and sales that aligns with enterprise strategy and stakeholder.
  • Oversee content, PR, creative services and multimedia channels.
  • Develop editorial programming and content strategy in partnership with performance marketing, product/solutions management, and business leaders to help achieve business goals.

Strategy & Performance

  • Extract actionable insights from customer research, business, and campaign performance data to understand the needs of the dealer, the end-user, the opportunities in the business, and in marketing effectiveness.
  • Explore and implement best in class practices from other Konica Minolta markets.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in PR and content marketing, and share insights with the team to drive innovation.
  • Sustain a performance measurement framework across key platforms to drive sustainable growth and continuous improvement.
  • Develop an intricate understanding of the portfolio offerings across all supported lines of business to identify market opportunities and cross-brand offerings. Ensure collaboration and holistic offerings to the market that provide differentiation in the business technology industry.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Partner closely and collaborate with Performance and Product Marketing teams to drive best-in-class revenue generation programs.
  • Ability to interact with other marketing teams to interpret and frame business needs into communications strategies.
  • Lead a highly creative team of digital and social-first marketers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to help them achieve their individual and team goals.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the marketing team.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in senior marketing level roles.
  • 3+ years people management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience working in a multi-market, global organization.
  • Creative storyteller with exceptional writing skills.
  • Deep expertise leading the briefing and development of a wide variety of creative outputs, from brand design, to integrated campaigns, to social content and IRL experiences.
  • Expert communicator with leadership presence and a proven ability to positively influence stakeholders across a large organization.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, with flexibility to pivot plans as business needs change and opportunities arise.
  • Strong and proven leadership experience managing others including managers of managers.
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing communications programs in traditional, digital and social landscapes.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Proven experience with web, content, and paid analytics tools.
  • Project management and multitasking skills; ability to effectively manage project tasks, timelines, and communications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, collaborative and open to new ideas/solutions.
