Job summary

Socket.dev in Metuchen, NJ is seeking a Director of Operations to lead a branch’s operations, wellness programs, and financial performance. You will supervise Branch Directors, oversee the Wellness Department and Oakcrest facility, and collaborate with the COO and Executive Director on board relations and campaign support.

The role requires proven wellness leadership, program development experience, and budget management, with a track record of ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven Wellness/Fitness leadership experience.
• Experience in programming and building operations.
• BS/BA degree or equivalent education and experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and leadership to all Branch Directors to ensure sound operations and program implementation and advancement.
• Provide direct oversight and leadership to the Wellness Department, including scheduling, programming, chronic disease program delivery, equipment acquisition and upkeep, personal training oversight.
• Provide oversight and leadership to the Oakcrest facility.
• Foster a climate of partnership with Community Campus leaders.
• Monitor monthly financial status, including membership and program delivery, membership and program income, expenses, cost controls and revenue opportunities.
• Develop and manage overall branch budget.
• Provide leadership to branch growth through program expansion, member recruitment and retention.
• Foster a climate of innovation to develop member and community focused programs which support the Y mission, goals and strategies.
• Ensure the overall safety of the facility.
• Work closely with the COO and Executive Director in developing and working with the Branch Board of Managers.
• Support the Branch Annual Support Campaign.
• Support the association-wide fund development efforts and events.
• Ensure the building and all programs are within all YMCA standards and that all local, state and federal regulations are met.
