Job summary
Walmart is seeking a Director of Automation Engineering in Bentonville, AR to lead site engineers across automation initiatives within our grocery distribution centers. This role guides strategy, systems development, lifecycle management, and capital planning for automation and related infrastructure.
The position requires industrial automation expertise, data visualization and financial acumen, and strong executive leadership to drive scalable, cost-effective solutions across the supply chain.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or 7 years of engineering/supply chain experience; 3 years supervisory experience.
- Experience with automation systems, data visualization, and financial analyses for capital projects.
- Strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic roadmapping abilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead continuous improvement of advanced automation systems to optimize supply chain processes.
- Use data visualization tools to develop insights informing strategic decisions and drive improvement.
- Manage cross-functional teams and projects with alignment to business objectives and timely delivery.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses and oversee ROI evaluations for automation initiatives.
- Develop strategic roadmaps for automation engineering and coordinate with internal and external partners.
- Identify risks, craft contingency plans, and monitor project performance to create value.
