Convergent Research seeks a visionary leader to build AI resilience institutions and steer a growing portfolio of Focused Research Organizations.

You will identify bottlenecks, recruit exceptional founders, and secure funding from philanthropic and public sources, while shaping governance and startup operations for ambitious, frontier-science projects.

Qualifications

• Experience building and guiding high-impact AI resilience programs.
• Ability to raise funds and manage budgets.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Roadmap AI resilience landscape and identify keystone capabilities.
• Source and diligence ideas for projects with funders.
• Build founding teams and recruit early hires.
• Coach founders on technical roadmaps and startup ops.
• Serve as Director on multiple FRO boards and guide funding decisions.
• Represent Convergent to philanthropic and public funders.
