Job summary

EQL Tech and Convergent Research seek an AI Resilience Partner to build and own a growing portfolio of frontier projects. You will define theses, recruit founders, raise funds, and help launch organizations that strengthen society's ability to benefit from AI while mitigating risks.

You will serve on multiple FRO boards, steer technical and organizational roadmaps, and represent Convergent externally to philanthropic and public funders.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of the AI landscape in 2026 with clear exposure and mitigations.
• Proven experience raising funds, guiding startups, and leading boards or nonprofit governance.
• Ability to form strong theses, recruit founders, and push ambitious resilience initiatives.
• Extensive network with philanthropic funders and AI researchers.
• Experience in venture, nonprofit leadership, or startup-building roles.

Responsibilities

• Roadmap AI resilience landscape and identify keystone capabilities.
• Source ideas, diligence, and design funding calls with funders.
• Build founding teams and recruit early hires for new orgs.
• Coach founders on roadmaps, fundraising, and startup operations.
• Serve as Director on multiple FRO boards and advise on governance.
• Represent Convergent externally to funders; advance strategic partnerships.
• Contribute to founder retreats and residency programs.
