Moody's Corporation is seeking a Director to lead strategy, delivery, and evolution of mission-critical AI platforms and intelligent applications. You will guide multi-year architectural roadmaps, own budgeting and cloud infrastructure, and collaborate with product, risk, and compliance to enable responsible AI adoption.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years leading engineering teams
• Experience leading multiple teams including managers, tech leads and staff engineers
• Deep expertise in AI, LLMs, agents, retrieval augmented generation, orchestration and model optimization
• Experience running AI systems in production with observability, cost planning and incident response
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native tech, serverless, event-driven architectures and data/inference pipelines

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, delivery and evolution of mission-critical AI platforms and intelligent applications
• Define and execute multi-year architecture and technology roadmaps for AI platforms
• Grow and organize multiple engineering teams with accountability for delivery outcomes
• Drive AI-powered solution decisions using LLMs, RAG, orchestration and agentic workflows
• Institute engineering excellence through architecture reviews, automated testing, and security standards
• Own budget planning, cloud infra, tooling investments, and cost management
• Partner with product, risk, legal and compliance to ensure responsible AI governance
• Mentor engineers and develop future leaders
• Define metrics to demonstrate platform adoption and business impact
