Job summary

Equinix seeks a Director of Product Software Architecture and Engineering to build and lead a new dev‑ops team delivering an AI and container management service for Equinix Managed Solutions. You will define requirements, SLAs, and goals; integrate with ordering and back-office systems; and ensure enterprise-grade availability as the service scales.

You will partner with product management, EMS operations, and network architecture to deliver a cohesive, secure, and scalable platform, driving

Qualifications

Director-level experience managing managers and delivering multiple software products/services.
Proven experience leading DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering teams.
Strong operational experience providing a highly available global service.
Experience delivering Kubernetes or OpenShift-based infrastructure at scale.
15+ years in a software development leadership role.
Bachelor's in Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for Equinix's AI and Container Management Service.
Partner with Product Management to translate customer needs into platform capabilities.
Establish SLOs, operational standards, and platform governance.
Drive adoption of cloud-native best practices across engineering and operations teams.
Lead architecture and design decisions for Kubernetes/OpenShift-based services and DevOps processes.
Ensure scalability, resiliency, security, and operational readiness of the platform.
Drive automation across provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
Collaborate with network, infrastructure, and security teams for seamless integration.
