Job summary
Equinix is seeking a Director, Product Software Architecture and Engineering to build and lead a new dev-ops team delivering an AI and container management service for Equinix Managed Solutions. You will partner with product management, define SOOs and goals, and integrate with global systems to enable self-service at scale.
You will drive cloud-native practices, lead architecture and DevOps for Kubernetes/OpenShift-based services, and ensure security, resiliency, and operational readiness
Qualifications
- Director-level experience managing managers and delivering multiple software products or services.
- Proven experience leading DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE teams.
- Strong operational experience delivering a highly available global service.
- Experience delivering Kubernetes or OpenShift-based infrastructure at scale.
- 15+ years in software development leadership.
- Bachelor's in Engineering preferred.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for Equinix's AI and Container Management Service.
- Partner with Product Management to translate customer needs into platform capabilities.
- Establish SLOs, operational standards, and platform governance.
- Drive adoption of cloud-native best practices across engineering and operations teams.
- Lead architecture and DevOps for Kubernetes/OpenShift-based managed services.
- Ensure platform scalability, security, and operational readiness.
- Drive automation across provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with network, infrastructure, and security teams for seamless integration.
