Okta is seeking a strategic and technical Director of Product Communications to craft compelling stories around identity and AI security. You will lead a team, collaborate with engineering and partnerships, and drive modern, digital-first campaigns across media channels.

You will prepare product executives for media interviews and help shape public conversations around AI identity. This senior role emphasizes leadership and narrative excellence.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Digital native with fluency in both traditional and new media.
• Proven track record managing communications during major corporate milestones (e.g., M&A, IPOs, or high-profile product launches).
• Storytelling mastery translating complex, technical topics for a general business audience.
• Executive presence coaching and advising C-suite on communication strategy and execution.
• Education: Bachelor's in Communications, Journalism, or Marketing; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead unified multichannel communications strategy (Workforce Identity, Customer Identity, Agentic Identity, AI Security).
• Scale the U.S. partnership PR program and engage enterprise audiences.
• Position the company as the authority on identity in the AI era and showcase executive leadership.
