Job summary

Okta is seeking a Director of Product Communications to guide multi-channel storytelling that clarifies identity challenges in AI and human contexts. You will lead a team, partner with engineering and partnerships, and drive campaigns that position Okta's executives as industry thought leaders.

Reporting to senior PR leadership, you will scale consumer, media, and partner communications, leveraging analytics to optimize campaigns in real time and deliver measurable impact for enterprise

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience with leadership experience (7+ years in management).
• Fluent in both traditional and new media formats.
• Proven track record managing communications during major corporate milestones (M&A, IPOs, product launches).
• Storytelling mastery: translate complex topics for a general business audience.
• Executive presence: coach C-suite executives on communication strategy and execution.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or Marketing; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a unified communications strategy across pillars like Workforce Identity, Customer Identity, and AI Security.
• Scale Okta's U.S. partnership PR strategy and enterprise audience reach.
• Lead campaigns positioning Okta as an authority on identity in the AI era.
• Turn product milestones and tech partnerships into news for diverse audiences.
• Use social listening and analytics to measure impact and pivot as needed.
• Prepare and coach executives for media interviews and events.
