OPSWAT is seeking a Director of Engineering for MetaDefender Email Security. You will lead a technically-centric, AI-enabled team responsible for architecture, delivery, quality, and end-to-end roadmaps across on-prem and cloud deployments.

You will stay hands-on, driving architecture, coding, prototyping, and problem solving while building a high-performance team across Eastern Europe and beyond. The role supports remote work with a preference for the UK, USA, or nearby OPSWAT locations.

Qualifikationen

• Experience leading AI-powered software in high-assurance environments.
• Strong systems engineering and architecture background.
• Proven ability to deliver end-to-end product roadmaps with security at the core.

• Lead as an AI-first, hands-on engineering leader across deployment models (on-prem and cloud).
• Stay hands-on in architecture, coding, prototyping, and problem solving.
• Own end-to-end delivery of the product roadmap and release across all deployments.
• Set technical direction and defend architectural choices for high-assurance systems.
• Build and lead a high-performance team across regions (Romania, Hungary; remote possible).
• Drive performance-based management and maintain a security-first quality bar.
• Raise engineering velocity with CI/CD, AI-assisted workflows, and mature operations.
