Job summary
Consilio LLC is seeking a hands-on Director of Software Development to lead the engineering team building market-leading AI-enabled legal automation platforms that govern the end-to-end lifecycle of legal operations processes.
You will split your time between setting technical direction, reviewing architecture and code, and unblocking the team, while owning delivery, people management, and quality across a blended team.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of software development experience with 4+ years in hands-on leadership.
- Experience building and leading distributed onshore/offshore teams.
- Hands-on technical ability to read, review, and contribute to code.
- Proven track record delivering multi-tenant web-based enterprise software.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, relational databases, cloud infra, RBAC.
- Strong Agile/Scrum delivery, sprint planning, backlog management, releases.
- Excellent communication to executive stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Hands-on architectural reviews, design reviews, and code reviews with the team.
- Own the technical roadmap, including AI-enabled capabilities and security.
- Translate business and legal requirements into technical designs and epics.
- Lead delivery, manage risks, and ensure on-time, high-quality releases.
- Direct distributed teams across locations with clear norms and practices.
