JPMorganChase is seeking a Director of Software Engineering in the Operations Collections to lead a technical area and drive impact across teams, technologies, and projects.

You will steer AI-enabled engineering practices, define operating expectations, ensure security and resiliency, and deliver scalable solutions for multiple businesses.

This role requires 10+ years in software engineering and 5+ years in leadership, with strong cloud experience and governance mindset.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams of technologists.
• Experience leading adoption of agentic AI-enabled engineering practices across teams and defining operating expectations.

Responsibilities

• Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives.
• Accountable for decisions influencing resources, budget, and operations.
• Sets direction and governance for AI-enabled engineering to drive speed, quality, and outcomes, with guardrails for security, resiliency, and reuse.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools to improve automation and capacity unlock initiatives at scale.
• Caries governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success.
• Delivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains.
• Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams.
