Brown & Brown, Inc. seeks a Director of AI & Security Development to lead a strategic cybersecurity pillar focused on agentic AI, security tooling, automation engineering, data analytics, and secure development practices.

The role reports to the CISO and collaborates with Security Operations, Architecture, and GRC teams. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in cybersecurity or software with 5+ in leadership, strong cloud experience, and a track record building AI/automation capabilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity or software engineering with 5+ years in leadership
• Proven track record building automation, AI/ML, or analytics capabilities
• Strong secure software development background across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with security operations, detection engineering or incident response workflows
• Experience with enterprise AI platforms or LLM-based systems; familiarity with AI risk management

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, operating model, and service offerings for AI & Security Development
• Develop AI-powered security agents to support detection, triage, investigation, and response
• Scale automation and orchestration across enterprise security technologies
• Establish secure AI development practices and DevSecOps governance
• Partner with Security Operations, Architecture, and GRC; build and lead a high-performing team
• Translate capabilities into measurable business value and risk reduction
