Job summary

Adobe is reimagining creativity with an AI-native Agentic Product. As Director of Engineering, you will lead the technical execution of a high-impact, user-facing AI experience that blends generative models, creative intelligence, and Adobe capabilities for creators worldwide.

You will partner with Product leadership to define scope, build and ship agentic experiences across surfaces, ensure end-to-end quality, and grow an engineering team to set a high standard in a rapidly evolving space.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading and scaling engineering teams to ship high-quality, user-facing AI products at scale.
• Deep experience with AI/ML product engineering, including LLM APIs and agent frameworks.
• Hands-on depth in architecture decisions and code reviews; you stay close to the craft.
• Strong product sensibility and ability to partner with PM and design as a peer.
• Cross-functional leadership with Product, Design, and Platform teams.
• Adaptability in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with evolving tech and user expectations.
• Experience shipping AI features to large consumer and enterprise audiences.
• Experience with AI product strategy or working with LLM providers is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering execution of Agentic Product — define what the agent does and ensure it ships on a predictable cadence across surfaces.
• Grow and lead the engineering team building Agentic Product capabilities, driving strategy, health, and velocity.
• Partner with Product leads to define technical scope and translate strategy into engineering plans.
• Design and deliver agent capabilities across in-app workflows, multi-step tasks, and context-aware assistance.
• Maintain the quality bar for agent behavior — define, measure, and improve it over time.
• Collaborate with platform/infrastructure teams to ensure proper evals, guardrails, and data protection.
• Develop and maintain fluency across agentic standards and model capabilities within engineering practices.
