Job summary

Cockroach Labs is seeking a Director of FP&A to reinvent our finance function with AI-native capabilities. You’ll lead a lean, hands-on team, partner with the CFO, and shape real-time forecasting, scenarios, and strategic insights.

You’ll own long-range planning, pricing input, and cross-functional collaboration, driving a finance function that supports rapid growth and confident board-level storytelling.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in finance, investment banking, private equity, or FP&A at a high-growth company.
• Fluency with recurring and consumption-based revenue models and relevant metrics.
• Strong ownership instinct and bias toward speed.
• Track record of AI or technology-led transformation of finance functions.
• Strong financial modeling, scenario analysis, and integrated three-statement forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Reimagine the FP&A operating model.
• Own long-range strategic planning and pricing/packaging input.
• Own the company-wide planning and forecasting process with AI-enabled updates.
• Serve as strategic finance partner to the CFO and exec team.
• Lead the design and delivery of board materials and investor packages.
• Drive interactive, real-time scenario modeling.
• Deploy self-serve financial intelligence across the business.
• Partner cross-functionally with R&D, GTM, and G&A leadership.
• Lead a lean, high-impact FP&A team with hands-on contribution.
