Job summary

Exostar seeks a Director of DevOps to lead its global 24x7 production operations. This automation-first leader drives incident response, AI-driven remediation, and cost optimization across Exostar SaaS products, partnering with engineering, product, security, support, and finance.

The role demands hands-on cloud and platform expertise, strong program leadership, and a track record of delivering reliable, scalable, and secure operations at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years running production technical operations for a customer-facing SaaS business with hard uptime SLAs.
• 5+ years leading multi-disciplinary teams of 25+ across DevOps/SRE and IT.
• Deep, hands-on technical depth: cloud (AWS and/or Azure), Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform/Bicep), CI/CD, observability stacks, secrets and identity.
• Demonstrated bias toward automation and AI-driven approaches in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Own production uptime, performance, and reliability across all Exostar SaaS products on a 24x7 basis, including SLO definition, on-call rotation, incident command, and stakeholder communications during major incidents.
• Own the engineering and operational response to every customer-impacting issue and partner with Customer Support on triage and resolution.
• Drive blameless postmortems and ensure durable fixes for Sev-1/Sev-2 incidents.
• Build a deployment platform that enables safe, frequent releases without DevOps bottlenecks and define CI/CD strategy.
• Stand up and evolve an AI-native operations program: AI-driven anomaly detection, intelligent alerting, and runbook automation.
• Own cost-of-goods for hosted services, forecast and report cloud costs to Finance and leadership.
