Billd is seeking a Director of Credit and Analytics in Austin, TX to lead risk modeling for commercial construction financing. You will own model development, validation, and governance, focusing on CHAID-based decisioning, regression, and gradient boosting to optimize credit limits and pricing across multiple Billd products.

The role is senior, hands-on (≈90% analytics) with cross-functional collaboration and direct reporting to the COO.

Qualificações

• 8+ years in B2B credit or fintech
• 4+ years of hands-on advanced credit modeling
• Experience owning production credit risk models
• CHAID decision-tree modeling is required
• Strong statistical modeling and explainability skills (SHAP)
• Experience with loss forecasting and validation (KS, Gini/AUC)
• Excellent Python and SQL abilities
• Ability to communicate complex quantitative findings to leadership

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design, development, and governance of CHAID-based models
• Forecast subcontractor cash flow and payment timing across the cycle
• Engineer predictive attributes from bank and credit data sources
• Translate model outputs into credit tiers and limits
• Define the credit modeling roadmap balancing growth and risk
• Own credit reporting to CEO, board, and partners
• Monitor model calibration, discrimination, and stability
• Integrate AI tools into model development and ensure reproducibility
• Collaborate with Operations, Underwriting, Finance, and Product to productionize changes
