Job summary

SpaceXAI in the United States seeks a driven Head of AI Tutors to lead a team of full-time staff and contractors delivering high-quality training data and evaluations for our models.

You will set data quality standards, review work, optimize processes, and collaborate with Human Data Managers and Engineering to translate model needs into labeling strategies. This is a hands-on leadership role with ongoing coaching and performance management.

Qualifications

• 1+ years hands-on experience in data labeling, annotation, AI training/evaluation, or related operations.
• Experience building scalable, high-performance technology applications.
• Experience with data quality metrics, annotation processes, and guideline-driven workflows.
• Understanding of AI concepts and how high-quality data impacts model performance.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end quality and delivery for assigned projects, reviewing work for accuracy and guideline adherence.
• Lead and manage a team of AI Tutors, including performance reviews and coaching.
• Oversee labeling and reviewing tasks to maintain high standards.
• Ensure taxonomy management and QA processes.
• Collaborate with Human Data Managers and Engineering to translate model needs into labeling strategies.
• Document outcomes and report project status, risks, and results.
