Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Director of Data Engineering for AI Data Centers to lead owner-side engineering efforts across an AI data center portfolio. You will coordinate with Development, Power, Construction, Operations and external consultants to ensure designs meet operational targets and deployment goals, while reducing reliance on external design partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.
• 10+ years of experience supporting data center, mission-critical, industrial, energy, utility, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary engineering and design activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead review and coordination of engineering and design deliverables across multiple AI data center projects.
• Coordinate civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, utility, and network infrastructure disciplines.
• Manage external engineering and design consultants.
• Support development and enforcement of Basis of Design (BoD) standards.
• Review technical studies, reports, drawings, and consultant recommendations.
• Identify design risks and constructability concerns early in the project lifecycle.
• Support utility coordination, path-to-power planning, and site infrastructure readiness.
• Partner with Development, Construction, Power, and Operations to align design with deployment objectives.
• Drive consistency and standardization across multiple site deployments.
• Provide technical recommendations to project and executive leadership.
