Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm for interacting with residents, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Interview residents/guardians/sponsors and obtain required admission information and signatures.
• Assist in residents' admission orientation.
• Admit and prepare identification records per policies and procedures.
• Manage admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Provide admission information packets (resident rights, privacy notices, contracts).
• Maintain bed availability and census records.
• Abstract information for insurance purposes as authorized.
• Notify nursing staff upon resident arrival.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information and PHI.
• Coordinate tours and guide facility personnel.
• Keep brochures and materials available for inquiries.
• Maintain liaison with families, residents, and community leaders.
• Plan events to enhance staff, resident, and community relations.
• Engage in community service and civic groups for support.
